Stargate...Work...Oh My

Ok so here we go it is my weekend again.  Finally after way too many double shifts everyday it is finally over.  So to start off my weekend I will be recording an episode of the5thracepodcast w/ Justin Nolan and Tim Phillips on one of my favorite episodes of Stargate.  Hopefully this week we will also do the Heroes Podcast that Justin and I have been talking about for awhile. 

This is the week when I go and buy the Vizio 32" VOJ32OF1A LCD TV for my bedroom.  I plan on giving a basic review of the TV on this site and my social networks.  I wanted to add that as a new feature of my sites is review products that I purchase.  Kind of a customer review thing.  I will also be buying a tvtuner card for my computer and an external HD antenae.  I am basiclly wanting to run my computer and my cable and the over the air stuff all through the TV and computer trying to reduce the clutter in this very tiny room of mine.

Not much else happend although earlier last week a friend from work and I went to the ostrich festival here in Chandler Arizona.  I took a lot of pictures and video I will be posting on here soon but you can also check them out on facebook.

Been awhile... First Day off... Relax

Well here we are my first day off in awhile.  Lots happened since my last post.  First of all solved all my money problems and finally caught up with everything.  Come the next paycheck I will be getting myself a brand new LCD 1080P Flat Panel tv.  I will be getting a new tuner card for my computer so I can pvr my tv shows and watch them on my new tv. 

Work has sucked just as much as always been long hours, shitty pay and "no respect".  I hit my 3 year with Servisair 07Mar09.  I emailed both my bosses reminding them that I need my raises both my work raise and my 3 year raise.  I am still waiting for Rita to tell me how much vacation time I have so I can plan a trip somewhere nice. 

Speaking of trips I most likely will be headed to San Diego soon and maybe even Cancun.  Looking forward to going so I can take some pictures and maybe some video if I can get myself a vixia or a flip or something.  Hopefully I will have an Iphone by then so I can also twitter my trip with pics and stuff.

Well I am going to go watch some tv now.

A day of help...A day of catch up...California Yellow Cab SUCKS...

Well today I went to my moms new place to help her set up her computer and her tv.  I got her all set up then spent the day with her showing her some cloud computing and watching some tv shows we both like.  Other than that my day was pretty uneventful.

Got paid today though that was nice, cant spend it though cause of the California Yellow Cab Company fraudulently stealing $30.94 from my account making me have to freeze my account for investigation and lose my debit card. 

To make this painful story short, back in December I went to California to visit a friend of mine, I had to use my flight benefits to fly in to SNA (Orange County or Santa Ana for the airline newbie).  Once I got there I had to get a taxi to the train station that would take me to SAN (San Diego).  So I hailed a California Yellow Cab, this asshole of a driver asked me where I was going I told him which train station it was.  He then proceeded to take me to the wrong station which costs more to get to cause of the distance.  Once there he tried to run my debit card both swiping and then running a carbon copy and typing the card in, neither worked for some reason.  This whole time we are sitting here his meter is still turning.  So I call my friend have him give his credit card number over the phone, the whole time this asshole is telling me " I call cops" "You pay me now"  "I must leave, I call cops".  Finally get him paid.

Now 3 months later I get a charge at 2:42PM  on my bank account for $30.94 from that same cab company.  Now what I did not tell you was that the asshole tried to charge me $52 after the long wait by which I told him no and paid him $26 which was the initial price when I got there and no shit no tip.  So this $30.94 was nowhere in my charges from back then.  So I deduced that this is a completely new charge not mine just lagging 3 months behind so I called my bank to put a stop payment on it and then called California Yellow Cab to complain they transferred me 3 times and then had the nerve to tell me that I must have done it cause they show it being swiped at 2:30PM.  I then told the dolt on the phone that I am in Arizona and at the time of the swipe I was at work where I had to clock in with a time card and fingerprint.  He said well I will call the driver in and ask him about it and see what happens.  I have yet to hear back from them but I am still missing the $30.94 from my account.

So in closing take any cab but California Yellow Cab.  Spread the word.

Follow up to this post is not much.  I did finally get the money back only to have them take away from me the next day.  I finally then got them to give it back again this time it stuck.  The answer he gave me was that the driver that gave me a ride that day no longer worked there and that he was keeping all the manual reciepts in a container in his cab and that his replacement found them and ran the card numbers again.  Needless to say I was furyess about it and informed them they caused me a large amount of hassle.  I say again to everyone do not use California Yellow Cab.

What a day...Cancel me happy...

Ok so today was interesting at work.  Atlanta along with a large portion of the east coast had some bad weather today, icing, snow, rain and high winds.  This in turn prevented a lot of flights from leaving and delayed all of the flights in and out of ATL.  Our flights both 545 and 546 outbounds were delayed for well over 4 hours, they canceled over 400 flights and delayed hundreds more.  We had pax asking us the same questions over and over every 5 min.  I understand peoples frustration with not getting to their destinations but really do you have to yell and get cranky and lose all mental capacity.  For instance we had a couple that came up we told them that their flight from ATL to TPA was canceled and the earliest we could get them there was Tuesday that pissed them off they demanded we move them to another flight or another airline.  When we told this couple that if we are canceled and delayed everyone else is going to also all airlines and sure enough USair and Delta were canceled and everyone else.  They still insisted we fix this problem not listening to us when we told them we have no control over weather, this is an act of GOD not an act of ME.

Finally got the flights out and most of the connections made it but we still had our night flight which left ontime no issues worked out great.  We got pizza fed to us and all was good.  As a reminder to all people out there:  Weather = no help from the airlines at all.  It is as simple as that.

Well my bedroom is burning up I am hot so time to shut the computer down and go to bed get to wake up in the morning early and go back to doing this all over again yay.

Bad mood...Getting over it...

Well today was a bad day, not much to say cause I am tired and kind of mad but the brief statement goes as such.   I got wrote up today due to missing a bag fee, the reason I missed it is cause I am the goto guy I am the one everyone calls upon to fix their problems and always the one dealing with the worst of the worst issues and running between everyones computers not able to put 100% into my customers.  So I miss my 1 out of like 1000 passengers that I check in go figure.  On top of all of it the east coast had a lot of pre canceled flights that we were dealing with and it just made life that much more fun.

On a lighter side of things I have a couple of $25 gift certs to Restaurant.com so I think it is time to spoil myself with a nice meal.

My days off have changed starting 09Mar09 I will be off on Thurs and Fri, so looks like I will have to change around a few things again but ohh well.
